At this event we will look at the basics of exploring the handpan from the layout and chords to how to play the notes and create different patterns.

We will experiment with improvisation and playing together in a group as well as getting a feel of the instrument.

The handpans will be provided they are in the key D Kurd thanks to Yatao Handpans they are also available to purchase.

We will also have a drum circle learning some basic rhythms and games relevent to the handpan.

We will have a 45-minute break halfway through the session to refresh the brain and reset.
