BUDAPEST/ HUNGARY
Hello, my name is Judit. I'm an enthusiastic handpan player and now a certified Malte Marten Method teacher too.
The handpan came into my life several years ago in a rather mystical way. At the time, I didn't even know what this beautiful instrument was, but something about it immediately touched me. I started searching for an opportunity to experience a handpan in person, and that is how I met my first handpan teacher. I truly believe that meeting changed my life.
Through the handpan, I found a passion, new friendships, a way to express myself, and, perhaps most importantly, a beautiful way to give something to others.
As my journey continued, I began playing during yoga classes, using the handpan to deepen the experience of relaxation and connection. Eventually, I gathered enough courage to take my handpan to the streets of Budapest and play for people passing by. These were two very different experiences, yet both brought me the same feeling of joy: the joy of sharing music with others.

My curiosity then led me to explore sound healing, and I began organizing my own sound journey sessions—first on my own and later together with fellow handpan players. More recently, a close friend and I have been exploring another sensory experience, combining fragrance meditation, melodies, and bean-to-bar, single-origin chocolate tasting. It is a beautiful project that we continue to develop and deepen.
Along the way, while gathering all these experiences and discovering new ways to connect and share with others, I came across the Malte Marten Method. I felt immediately drawn to it and decided to take part in the teacher training.
Now I offer handpan workshops and classes for beginners.
My aim is not simply to teach you which notes to play or how to create a rhythm. I would love to help you discover the handpan as an experience—as a way to express yourself, slow down, explore your creativity, and simply enjoy making music.
The handpan is a wonderfully intuitive instrument. You don’t need a musical background to begin. Sometimes, all you need is a little guidance, encouragement, and the freedom to explore.
Whether you are simply curious about the handpan or already feel that special pull toward the instrument, I would be very happy to accompany you as you take your first steps.
Who knows? It might become your passion too…
