I'm Joel Cosseboom, a certified Malte Marten Method handpan teacher based in Hawaii and California.

The handpan came into my life as more than an instrument. It guided me through my own healing, and it taught me that playing is less about being impressive and more about being present. That is what I teach.

My approach starts at the roots. We ground in the fundamentals, posture, touch, timing, and listening, so that real freedom can grow from solid ground. Structure first, so you can eventually let go and play from feeling.

I work with beginner and intermediate players, one on one, online and in person. Whether you want to learn the instrument or simply use it to come home to yourself, you are welcome here.
