Before discovering the handpan, I learned to play the hammered dulcimer, drums, vibraphone, guitar, and jazz piano basics. The first time I heard the handpan in Krumau an der Moldau, I witnessed a musical dialogue between two artists communicating from one riverbank to the other. This experience left an indelible mark on me, and I was moved to tears.

In late 2020, my Brazilian school friend Roberta and I simultaneously purchased handpans and began exploring the instrument, she in Brazil and I in Germany. We took online lessons with Alexandre Lora and David Charrier.

In June 2021, I attended a 7-day handpan retreat with Yatao (Malte Marten & Alexander Mercks), which was a game-changer for me. It was there that I decided to leave my well-paying job as a foreign language correspondent to dedicate myself fully to music.

When travel restrictions were lifted, Roberta visited me, and we attended the first Wildnaya Summer Academy. The small-group lessons with renowned handpan artists like Nadishana, Handpan Dojo, Archer & Tripp, Amy Naylor, and Marloi opened up new possibilities for us.

Playing the handpan has become a daily ritual for me, allowing me to express my emotions. The experience is a journey into my inner self, fulfilling and liberating me. I'm happy to share this beautiful gift of handpan playing with you.

I'd like to give you the opportunity to discover yourself through simple sound exercises and learn to play the instrument in a playful way. No prior musical knowledge is necessary.

During my handpan travels, I noticed how strongly the environment influences the playing experience. This inspired the idea of a mobile home (PanVan) that allows me to teach you in inspiring locations. Of course, on-site lessons are also possible.
